Local Events
Sullivan Thomas is proud to have long standing associations with some of our areas' most successful and worthwhile local events:
Beatrix Potter Primary School
We are delighted to work with Beatrix Potter Primary School PTA to sponsor the school's Summer Fair and Christmas Winterwonderland.
Both are popular annual events which attract visitors not only from within the school community but also from the wider Wandsworth Common and Earlsfield area. So, twice a year the Magdalen Estate is awash with Sullivan Thomas boards, promoting the school's events.
Last Christmas saw the school grounds transformed into a Winterwonderland complete with ice rink (and snow!), traditional Christmas market, hog roast, mulled wine, Christmas food and gifts, Santa's grotto and children's activities.
The 2011 Beatrix Potter Primary School Summer Fête took place at the end of June and was once again a great success with the rainforest theme attracting around 1000 visitors.

St Anselm's Church
The Christmas Fair last November was a wonderful evening enjoyed by many people from the parish and local community. On a cold and snowy night it was a warm beginning to the festive season that lifted everyone’s spirits. The Polish Choir sang while visitors browsed amongst the variety of stalls, mulled wine in hand.
Sullivan Thomas was pleased to offer our continued support - the evening was a great success that raised funds towards the ongoing refurbishment of the church.

St Anselm's Catholic Primary School
Sullivan Thomas once again supported this year's St Anselm's Catholic Primary School's May Fair. Over 700 children and adults enjoyed the host of activities helping to raise funds for ongoing playground improvements at the school.
Commenting on the Fair’s success, the head teacher, Mrs Christine Macauley said:
"The Fair is an opportunity for the children to showcase many of the things they learn, and for families in the community to have a great day out, enjoying traditional games and entertainment."

Balham Blazers FC
Sullivan Thomas is proud to sponsor local youth football club Balham Blazers FC. The Club was started 10 years ago with one U10s team by Greg Cruttwell - the club's General Manager and long time Balham resident.
Through Greg's commitment and support from parents and volunteers, the club has gone from strength to strength and now boasts 8 teams, from Under 9s to Under 18s, all of whom play at a very high level in the best leagues in South London, Surrey, Kent and Sussex. This includes a new Youth Team who play at a semi professional level. There are 130 boys registered to play for the club and a very supportive parent body, all of whom are local to Balham.
With the help and support of Sullivan Thomas, Balham Blazers FC is celebrating their 10 year anniversary by hosting a spectacular dinner dance at the Polish Club on 8th October. The evening will kick-off with the premiere of a Balham Blazers film - taking us through the decade, followed by guest speakers, a live band and a three course meal. Guests will include the great and the good from the local community, football world, and of course their very own supporters. The event promises to be a fantastic evening to commemorate the success and outstanding achievements of a local home grown football club. Go Blazers!!

All Saints Church of England Primary School
Sullivan Thomas continues to sponsor The All Saints Christmas and Summer Fairs. Both are annual events held at the school with fun activities for adults and children, lots of home-made produce to buy, second hand toys and books, as well as a tombola, live music and games.
The funds raised go towards improving the facilities at the school and as such benefit the local families whose children attend the school by improving their educational experience.
The last Christmas Fair raised almost £5,000.
"Sullivan Thomas were kind enough to sponsor the fair and their significant contribution played a large part in helping us raise much needed funds".

Trinity Hospice
Trinity Hospice became England's first hospice in 1891. Today, 120 years later, they recognise more than ever the right of individuals to access specialist care at the end of their lives. Trinity believes in giving people real, practical, meaningful choices about their care and the degree of independence they seek. The Hospice serves over 3/4 million people in a catchment area which covers Central and South West London. It costs £8 million annually to provide free care to over 2,000 terminally ill people and their loved ones, both within their own homes and at the Hospice. Trinity Hospice receives just 36% of its funding from the NHS, the rest comes from the support of local people and organisations like Sullivan Thomas.

St Anselm's Parish Winter Fayre November 2011
The Winter Fayre this year proved once again to be a very successful and enjoyable evening.
The Fayre was well attended and a wonderful way to commence the Festive season.
There were a variety of gift stalls, delicious cakes and preserves. The ladies knitting group sold a selection of beautiful handmade gifts.
The Parish shop was open and proved to be very popular too.
We were entertained by the beautiful voices of the local Polish choir, and with a mulled wine and a mince pie the evening was concluded perfectly.
Many thanks to Sullivan Thomas for their on-going support for our Parish.
